APPEARANCE
Ellene is a tall, lithe, regal woman who stands about 5'11" and weighs about 130lbs. Her features are devastatingly beautiful, delicate, and yet refined amidst her flawless skin. Her lips seem made to kiss or curve up slowly in a mysterious smile. Her cheekbones are high, and her face is an exquisite oval, her chin strong without being overpowering. Her nose is long and yet shaped so that it doesn't fall out of place with the balance of her features. Her brows arched above the greatest asset of her face: her blue eyes. Her ears are delicately pointed like those of her race.

Her red hair is long, falling to her waist in natural waves. Most often, her hair is left down, though occasionally, she'll pull it back into intricate styles - interweaving jewels, ribbons, or feathers throughout it. Her neck is long, leading to feminine shoulders and a chest that's ample but not too much. She's taller than most human women, and the added inches give her a longer look rather than a voluptuous one. It is evident that she is not a warrior, though she's trim and obviously fit - she lacks the muscle structure that those of warrior status normally have.

Her style is normally reminiscent of those of ancient times – flowing and at times almost gossamer in look. She dresses a bit more revealing than her husband would prefer, but as she's always had a mind of her own - she wears what she wants and when she wants.

Growing up in the Summer Court of Gaelwyn, the eldest daughter of the King of the Summer Court, Ellene was raised with the thought that one day she might become Queen. She flourished in many things growing up, magic, archery and healing, politics and courtly courtesies. She was never good at what might have been considered feminine virtues, but then again, Fae women were expected to do more than what many Human women were.

There is a sensual charm to Ellene that makes her likable and seems to draw others to her. She can be very impish, mischievous, fun, and sometimes a little bit naughty. She has a great love for life and everything in it. She would much rather be dancing and singing than to be stuck working on her skills with a sword - which she has none so there's actually nothing to work on. She does enjoy playing pranks on others, nothing that would ever harm anyone but she would slip something into someone's drink to change the color of their hair.

Since her mother's unfortunate death, she has devoted much of her time and efforts to maintaining the Summer Court. She's taken it upon herself to take more interest in her father's court - advising him when she thinks her mother might have stepped in. She is fair and yet she is firm. She has no problems voicing her opinions to anyone and she refuses to allow anyone to even think they can talk down to her.

Even though she's married, Ellene does not love or even much like her husband. She married him only because she knew that the marriage would align the Summer and Winter courts. She also knows her husband does not love her. Because of this, she has no problem seeking out the comforts of those around her - male or female, it truly doesn't matter to her, as long as they interest her. She’s been known to be a shameless flirt despite the fact that she is married. In her defense, she can’t help it as she’s attracted to things and creatures of beauty. She knows it angers her husband, but regardless she continues on – sometimes to the point where she or others are put in a position of awkwardness and sometimes even danger.

She is, unfortunately easily offended, and is quick to anger. It is said that despite her wish to find the good and beauty in others - once one has crossed her, Ellene's vengeance is mighty and it's rare that she'll forgive easily and can be quite cruel in her revenge.

IMMORTALITY
As a Fae, Ellene can potentially live forever and will not die of old age. Instead, the physical age of the Fae is dependent on their mental maturity and social status. In the Fae community, the appearance of old age is a symbol of great status and power and a source of respect.

ALLURE
The Fae are considered exceptionally beautiful and attractive to humans and other supernatural species. The beauty of the Fae can have an almost hypnotic effect on others, to the point where their reason and inhibitions are lowered. The Fae can use their beauty to seduce others and gently manipulate them into giving in to their desires. Only individuals with a very strong will are able to withstand their allure independently. However, the effects of the allure are considerably weakened when one is aware of their magic. Allure is strongest when used on those who are naturally attracted to the gender of the Fae in question.

ENHANCED SENSES
As a Fae, she has better eyesight, hearing, taste, touch, and smell than humans. She can see at night with ease, hear better than dogs, better taste than a sommelier, interpret emotions on touch, and smell better than a bloodhound.

ENHANCED SPEED
She is able to move much faster than a human and has greater agility than they do.

HEALING (OTHERS)
Ellene has the ability to heal people. She can do this with touch, though she will normally use an ointment to try first. She will only use touch if the wound is life-threatening, or if it is someone she truly cares about. Using her healing powers puts a drain on her physically though, and so she truly does try and limit its use.

MAGIC DETECTION
She has the ability to detect magical auras in creatures/people she meets, even if it's only just a small amount. She's not able to tell what kind of magic they possess, nor how strong their magic might be, just that they have it.

VERDURE CHARM
She is the opposite of Autumn/Winter Fae. With her, she brings warmth and growth. She's able to emit heat, like the sun, and at any given time she could smell like the woods on a warm summer day, flowers in full bloom, and so on and so on. She has the natural ability to make plants grow, and it isn't uncommon to find fresh flowers blooming where ever she happens to be.

GLAMOUR
Ellene has the ability, for a time, to make herself appear as something she is not. This is actually a form of hypnotism or charm. It is but a suggestion that Ellene is something she is not (without the strengths, weaknesses, or habits. i.e., If the appearance is a master wizard, she cannot work magic beyond what she could in her original form). Ellene's Glamour cannot be performed unintentionally - it MUST be concentrated on, however, this does not mean she cannot go about her normal daily routine. Because this is an ability that requires a good deal of energy, the glamour can only be effective for a few days at a time (two maximum). Once the Glamour has run its course, Ellene cannot perform another for about three days.

Having been in existence since before humans picked up a sword, the Fae lived in harmony with magic and the forest around them. They thought they were the only beings attuned to magic, but they were wrong. Humans slowly began to show signs of magical talent. The Fae community was divided concerning how to handle the situation. They weren't sure whether they should help the humans with their magical abilities or if they should sit back and let nature take its course. After long deliberations, the Fae decided to let the humans grow as nature dictated, and they themselves retreated further into their own Kingdom.

It was when the first Vrial became King that the Fae once again became concerned with the ways of man. This King was different than the others had been. He didn't seem to respect the Fae's boundaries and seemed to be trying to draw the Fae into his wars. Once again, the Fae were divided on how to handle the current situation. Half wanted to slaughter the King and all who followed him; the other half wanted to help those affected by the King's rule. Since neither was willing to compromise, it was decided that they would instead veil their Kingdom from the eyes of humans. If humans couldn't see them, the Fae were convinced that they would also forget them.

Their Kingdom only became even further divided. There were the Fae who hated the humans for forcing the veiling of the land. And then there were those who had sympathy and hoped that perhaps one day in the far future that Fae and Humans would be able to live in harmony once again. The two sides became known as the Summer Court - those who were sympathetic with humans and the Winter Court - those who wanted nothing more than to destroy them all. The two sides ended up splitting their own Kingdom up - the Summer taking the middle part of the Kingdom that rested deep within the valley, and the Winter took to the mountains surrounding the valley. The two sides, worked together though as they still needed each other. The Summer provided fresh fruits and vegetation to the Winter and in return, the Winter protected the borders.

The Fae remained in their separate kingdoms for many centuries, each ruled by a different set of kings and queens. That is until Leviathar Vrial returned and reconquered Cadrial-Tiein. The Fae--with their affinity to all things magical--sensed the great power that Leviathar carried with him, the Phoenix Tear. Deciding that the time for disunity had passed, the Kings of the two Fae kingdoms agreed to the arranged marriage of their children, after which both rulers would eventually abdicate their thrones in favor of the newly married couple, thus reuniting the Fae into one kingdom.

Ellene, the newly married Crown Princess was far from happy with the arrangement. She viewed her new husband as nothing more than a brute and too violent for her liking. She was used to her kind, and finding herself married to one from the dark Winter Court was hard at first. Though to her relief (and a bit to her surprise), her new husband didn't seem all that fond of the marriage either. Neither seemed to want to spend any time with the other and for the first century of their marriage, they kept to their own Palaces and only dealt with each other in the new joint court. This served Ellene just fine, for she was used to spending her time with creatures of light - and she really could not see herself ever enjoying the company of her husband. So she continued on with her life as though she hadn't married.

She soon found that this was a mistake. Even though her husband, Lucian, didn't seem pleased with the marriage, he refused to let his wife make a fool of him - even though that had never been the intent of the Princess. He'd found out about Ellene's group of 'suitors' and quickly made an example of one. No one talks of what happened to this Fae, but all now know that Ellene is indeed off-limits to all except the Prince. Ellene was shocked at his actions, but seeing what had happened to the male Fae, kept quiet. She was furious though, and she became determined to make her husband want her so she could teach him a lesson. Slowly, over the years she's been using her charms on him and while he still tries to appear uninterested, Ellene has caught him more than once following her around on her tours of the kingdom.

The couple has been married for a little over two centuries, and they now find themselves watching the humans - their interest growing more and more with each day. Ellene's interest seems to be caught by the fact that many of the humans have great magic and have seemed to begin to realize that all magic is intertwined. Lucian, on the other hand - only seems interested in the war that seems to be brewing between the different human nations. He seems almost happy with it, much to Ellene's confusion. But both have decided to take a 'wait-and-see' approach before they decide to break their isolation and make their presence known once again to the world of humans.
